Cocoa Pork Tenderloin
2018.07.22

This past wednesday was another cooking club success at Social Residence Nishikasai! As always, everything was extremely delicious and all who attended had an amazing time. This time, the main dish was Cocoa-Rubbed Pork Tenderloin!

At first some might think that that sounds weird, or even disgusting. Chocolate rubbed on pork meat!?!? But it's actually quite delicious. The thing is, since it was cocoa powder, it didnt have the sweet candy taste, but instead had the rich, earthy taste which enriched the flavor of the meat. Along with the cocoa powder, we mixed in garlic, old bay fish seasoning (a cajun seasoning), salt, pepper, paprika, oregano, and steak seasoning. Then we coated the pork in this mixture, seared it in a pan and then finished it off in the oven. The meat was so tender and juicy and the rub that we used gave each bite a rich flavor that happily stayed on your palette, making you want more!

Along with the tenderloin, we had salad and chocolate cake to complete our amazing meal. We even got a new member from Morocco to join us from now on and we enjoyed getting to know him. We;re always looking for new members so feel free to join us at Social Residence Nishikasai on monday nights for cooking. You will be showered with love and good food!
