Improving internet

Improving internet speed to Korea/Japan’s level can reduce the time Filipinos spend online by 4 hours. Can you imagine getting 4 hours per day back in your life?

More importantly, improving access to internet opens up a world of possibilities to those who were not born with many options. It gives them an opportunity to switch out of the default settings they were born into. Philippines is one of the world’s most English fluent countries (even in Oslob). That means if school children can have access to the internet, they can learn from countless sources. MIT has its whole curriculum online. Code academy teaches how to code for free. Khan academy teaches everything from basic mathematics to financial management. A 12 year old with internet access can obtain the same content of education as an US Ivy League student.IMG-3902
