Tsutsujigaoka station is in Tokyo's Chofu city, on the Keio line. It opened in 1913 under a different name, Kaneko, and in a different location in fact. In 1927 it moved to its present home, and earned its current name in 1957. It was greatly expanded in 2004, with barrier-free additions in 2011. There are elevators that connect the gate and the platform, and escalators and elevators leading to the north and south exits. The station lies on local and express stops of various services. It serves 45,000 riders per day, and has 4 platforms.

Around Tsutsujigaoka station you can find Saneatsu Mushanokōji Memorial Museum and the Kewpie Mayo Terrace. The Saneatsu Mushanokōji Memorial Museum is a 10-minute walk from the station. Saneatsu Mushanokōji was a writer who moved to Chofu when he was 70 and had deep ties to the local community. It functions as a museum with displays and lectures. The Kewpie Mayo terrace is 700 meters from the station, and is dedicated to Kewpie mayonnaise. It is an interesting place to visit.
Because Tsutsujigaoka is an express stop, it is convenient for travel into the center of Tokyo. You can get to Shinjuku in 20 minutes. Near the station are an Ozeki and Keio grocery store. Out the north exit are several drugstores, and to the east of the station is a 100 yen shop. Though there is no big shopping center, you can still get everything you need.
