Summer is just around the corner, and July brings the season of "Tanabata" (the Star Festival), a traditional Japanese event!
We are excited to announce a special photo posting campaign to collect all your dreams and summer excitement!

What is Tanabata?
Tanabata (the Star Festival) is a romantic Japanese tradition celebrated on July 7th. The story goes that two star-crossed lovers, Orihime and Hikoboshi, are separated by the Milky Way and can only meet once a year on this specific night. People celebrate by writing their wishes on colorful paper strips (Tanzaku) and hanging them on bamboo!

Whether it’s your personal wish like "I want to travel all around Japan this year!" or "I hope my Japanese gets better!", a photo of bamboo decorations in your house, a smiling shot holding a sketchbook with a dream you want to achieve with your housemates, or even a cozy, emotional night-time photo in the common room inspired by the Milky Way—we are looking for wonderful photos that capture the spirit of "Tanabata" and your "Summer Wishes"!

Open the Oakhouse App.

Post your photo on the Feed (Timeline).

Simply add the hashtag #星に願いを or #MakeaWish in your caption!

Judging Points

"Tanabata & Summer Vibe": Seasonal feelings or night-time atmospheres that make people think "Summer is finally here!"

"Wonderful Wishes": Creative wish ideas or dreams that make everyone want to support you.

"Sharehouse Daily Life": Scenes of writing wishes together with your housemates, or moments that show your bond. (*Of course, solo photos showing your personal style are also more than welcome!)

■ Eligible Participants

Those who are living in an Oakhouse property as of July 16th, 2026.

Those who have already moved out but were living in an Oakhouse property as of July 16th, 2026.

Residents in apartment-type properties are also more than welcome to participate, not just those in sharehouses!

■ Results Announcement
Results will be announced on the campaign page within the app and on the official website.
Winners will also be notified directly via message.

■ Notes & Precautions

If other people appear in your photo, please ensure you have their permission before uploading.

Submissions must be your own original photos. Photos that infringe on copyright will be disqualified.

Inappropriate content may be excluded from the contest at our discretion.

Photos submitted for this campaign and the user's nickname may be featured on the Oakhouse website, SNS accounts, newsletters, etc. By submitting a photo, you agree to its use on these media platforms.

For residents living in Oakhouse properties where PAO points cannot be used, a direct discount will be applied to your rent. Properties not directly managed by Oakhouse (such as agent-brokered properties) are not eligible for this campaign.

■ Q&A

Q. Can I use filters on my photos?
A. Yes, using filters or editing your photos is completely fine. However, excessive processing or photos that fail to convey the "Tanabata" theme or summer atmosphere may be excluded from selection.

Q. Can I post multiple times?
A. Yes, multiple posts are welcome! However, prizes are limited to one per person, so you cannot win multiple prizes.

Q. Am I limited to only one photo per post?
A. You can include multiple photos in a single post. However, please note that prizes are limited to one per person.
