2024/06/09 Let's carry a portable shrine at a festival!

Would you like to carry a portable shrine at the festival held by a shrine in Sumida Ward?

'mikoshi' is a portable shrine that is carried by people during festivals, serving as a 'vehicle' for the deity.

This time, with the cooperation of the neighborhood association organizing the festival, Oakhouse has prepared an opportunity for residents of Oakhouse properties to experience carrying the portable shrine.

We are looking for people from among you to carry the mikoshi!

The portable shrine that Oakhouse will be responsible for is from Shirahige Shrine in Higashi-Mukojima, Sumida Ward.

Let's experience Japanese culture by carrying the portable shrine.

On the day of the festival, Oakhouse will provide a rest area along the mikoshi route. The rest area is not only for those carrying the mikoshi but also for those who want to support them or simply enjoy the festival. Let's all enjoy the festival together!
Please choose the time you wish to carry the mikoshi, as we will be accepting applications for the morning and afternoon sessions.
