Oakhouse guest house started in 1992 as a Japanese housing agency to help both foreigners and Japanese clients.
As of December 2007, the company oversees 98 guesthouses with 1,300 rooms in the Tokyo area.
Rooms have A/C,internet, bedding and furniture (with security entrance).
Oakhouse lets you choose the guest house and apartment that suits your wants and needs, allowing you to pick by area, amount, environment, etc.
No credit money, no deposit money, no key money, and no guarantor are necessary, and the application fee is just 15,000JPY.(in case of sinfle room)
Applications from abroad are accepted. Payment by credit card is OK. During the move-in period for members of Oakhouse Club rental discounts are available. Membership is free and open to anyone.
Oakhouse guest houses give residents the chance to interact with people from different countries through events and parties. Oakhouse manages a Ikebukuro Information Office where there are staffs who speak various languages to help Japanese and foreigners alike by offering the latest guest house news in addition to general information about living in Tokyo.
