Area information of Koto

Koto is on the east side of Tokyo, with a population of 500,000 people. It is bordered by the Arakawa and Sumida rivers, as well as Tokyo Bay. The south of the ward is reclaimed land which holds many high-rise buildings and residential apartments. It has Tokyo Big Sight, which is a large international convention center, and in fact Pallet Town on Odaiba is part of Koto ward. The north side, on the other hand, still maintains a traditional downtown feel, with some famous shrines and temples, and many older houses where more elderly people live.
It lies along a train line that connects Chiba and Tokyo, along the JR Sobu or metro Tozai lines, so it has good access to other places. There are also many buses that go all over the ward. Many of the buildings for the 2020 Olympics will be in Koto ward, so development is increasing on the bay side even further.

Area information of KinshichoStation

Kinshicho station is in Tokyo's Sumida ward, and on the JR Sobu local and express lines as well as the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon line. It opened in 1894 under a different name and took the name Kinshicho starting in 1915. The station building was burned down during the war, then was rebuilt, and the station building Termina was added in 1961. The LaGirl building opened on the north side in 1980, with many shops in the station. Remodeling was performed on the station building exterior in 2017. The station has an average daily ridership of 105,342 for the Metro portion, an increase over the last 15 years. The JR portion daily ridership is 106,164. It is a very busy station, ranking 3rd on the line overall.
