Yokohama station is in Yokohama City's Nishi ward, and along several JR train lines, as well as Tokyu, Keikyu, Minato Mirai, Sotetsu, and Yokohama city subway lines. It is the biggest terminal station in Kanagawa prefecture. The Shinkansen bullet train does not stop at Yokohama station, but it is still the 5th busiest train station in the world, serving 2,260,000 riders per day. The station has over 100 years of history, and it is still having new parts added to it. The Sotetsu and subway Blue line are slightly removed from the JR, Keikyu, Tokyu, and Minato Mirai platforms.
