A mikoshi is a traditional portable shrine that carries the local deity through the streets during Japanese festivals.
Oakhouse has partnered with the local community association to offer a special mikoshi experience.
Join us to carry the mikoshi alongside other participants, surrounded by lively chants and the rhythm of taiko drums, and feel the excitement of a real Japanese festival. The event will take place in Mukojima, Sumida-ku, Tokyo, with a great view of the Tokyo Skytree. Everyone is welcome to join.

After the festival, there will be a social gathering for participants, so feel free to join and mingle with other festival-goers.

■Date: Sunday, September 14
Mikoshi: 14:00ｰ18:30 (divided into three time slots)
Social Gathering: 18:30ｰ19:30 (complete cleanup by 20:00)

Each session is limited to 8 participants. Reservations will close once the slots are full. If you have a preferred time, please apply early!

■Attire & Items to Bring
①Plain T-shirt (white, black, gray, etc.)
②Black or gray pants (any length)
③Jikatabi (traditional split-toe shoes)

*You can either prepare your own jikatabi (traditional Japanese split-toe shoes) or order them through Oakhouse if preparation is difficult. In that case, an additional ¥1,500 for the jikatabi will be added to the participation fee.
*If you purchase your own tabi, please make sure they are the type with rubber soles suitable for walking outdoors, rather than the soft sock-type tabi.

*A hanten (festival jacket) will be provided at registration.
*Changing rooms are available at the meeting location.

■Participation Fees
For mikoshi carriers: 1,500 yen (includes hanten rental & cleaning)
For non-carriers: Free (festival spectators or social gathering only)

■Notes
・Photos may be taken during the event and published on the Oakhouse website or social media. Please be aware of this.
・To share the mikoshi location on the day, please join our LINE group in advance. Invitations will be sent after your reservation is confirmed.
・Payment must be made in advance. After completing the Google Form, we will provide instructions for payment. Reservations will be canceled if payment is not completed within three days of receiving the instructions.
