The Nippara Limestone Caves in Okutama are among Japan’s largest, with over 800 meters of dramatic rock formations and a constant temperature of 11°C / 奥多摩の日原鍾乳洞は、日本最大級の鍾乳洞で、全長800メートルを超える劇的な岩石の形成が特徴です。洞内の温度は常に11度です。

1. Access (Going) / アクセス (行き):

• DEP: 9:06 AM / 出発: 午前9:06
• ARR: 10:07 AM at Okutama Station / 到着: 午前10:07

• Walk / 徒歩: 2km (30 min) / 約2km (約30分)

• Buses from Higashi Nippara / 東日原バス停から: 14:50 / 16:16 / 17:50

• SR Fussa Residents / SR福生住人: 8:40 AM / 午前8:40集合
• Other Participants / その他の参加者: 10:07-10:10 AM at Okutama Station / 午前10:07から10:10奥多摩駅で集合

4. Clothing / 服装:
• For the outdoor walk / 屋外での散策用: Dress for heat and humidity / 高温多湿に対応した服装。
• For inside the caves / 洞窟内: Bring clothing to keep warm and dry—it gets down to 11 degrees inside and is very damp / 洞窟内は11度と非常に寒く、湿気が多いので、暖かく乾いた服を持参してください。Waterproof shoes are recommended, or at least comfortable sneakers or hiking shoes with good traction / 防水靴を推奨しますが、少なくともグリップ力のある快適なスニーカーやハイキングシューズをお持ちください。Consider bringing a spare pair of shoes, or at least socks / 予備の靴や靴下もご検討ください。

5. What to Bring / 持ち物:
• Bring water, just in case / 念のため、飲み物を1本以上持参してください。There should also be vending machines and a place to buy light food, snacks, and souvenirs / 軽食やお土産を購入できる自動販売機や売店もあります。
• Costs / 費用: In addition to train & bus fare, the entrance fee for Nippara Limestone Caves is ¥900 for adults / 電車とバスの運賃に加え、大人の入場料は¥900です。I also recommend bringing at least another ¥1,000 in cash for drinks, food, or souvenirs, as credit cards and digital payments may not be accepted / 飲み物、食べ物、お土産などのために、少なくとも¥1,000を現金で持参することをお勧めします。クレジットカードや電子決済が利用できない場合があります。
