ShibuyaStation
Shibuya station is on the JR Yamanote, Saikyo, Shonan Shinjuku lines, the Tokyu Toyoko, Den-en-toshi lines, the Metro Fukutoshin, Ginza, Hanzomon lines, and the Keio Inokashira line, and is busy at all times of the day. However it is the first stop on the Inokashira and Ginza lines so you can tend to get a seat. Main shopping areas include Hikarie and 109. Average Oakhouse share house rent is 87,000 yen, slightly higher than Oakhouse rent in the Shibuya/Meguro/Setagaya area. But the station allows a wide range of access, into Saitama and Kanagawa as well. The area is currently undergoing massive redevelopment, which will hopefully further improve its convenience.

Station overview
Shibuya station is in Shibuya ward in Tokyo, and is on the JR, Keio, Tokyu, and Metro lines. It is one of the 3 urban areas on the Yamanote line, and lies along 9 lines, serving 2.3 million riders per day. The station is built in such a way that you will have to climb different floors and take several pathways to transfer to other lines, so it is often called a "dungeon" station. That said, there is plenty of shopping, a wide array of bus lines, and the town is undergoing redevelopment looking toward the future.
Places to see
There are so many things to see near Shibuya station. It is often known as a place for young people, and the biggest symbol of that is the 109 shopping building. It has many apparel shops geared toward high-school girls. There are shopping streets like Center Gai, Inokashira-dori, and Koen-dori that have a distinct Shibuya flavor. On the eastern side near Hikarie, it is more of an adult atmosphere, especially at Hikarie, with a live theater on the 11th through 16th floors, and more shopping. There are also department stores like Seibu and Tokyu. The station is undergoing massive redevelopment into a town everyone can conveniently enjoy.

Lifestyle
As one of Tokyo's main urban centers, rent prices are quite high. There aren't that many rentals right near the station to begin with.Heading south or along highway 246, Sakuragaoka, Daikanyama or Nanpeidai, there are more places to rent, but they are not cheap. As a shopping area it is easy to find everything you need in Shibuya, and there are plenty of places to eat and drink. There are plenty of buses that go to Shibuya so it might be good to look for a place to rent along one of those routes.
