It serves 1.5 times as many people as Takadanobaba station, and is an important line for people living in Saitama and northwest Tokyo. It passes through Nerima, one of Tokyo’s 23 wards, which is also an important bedroom town, and also serves Oizumi Gakuen station, home to Toei Animation and the Toei Tokyo filming lot. People who work in the city have an easy time looking for places to rent along stations on this line.

In the first and most important stop Ikebukuro, there is the Seibu, Tobu, Lumine, and Parco department stores, as well as the Sunshine Aquarium, Nanjya Town, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, so many people also come to Ikebukuro on the weekends, from young people to families. Around Nerima station, there is Nerima Otori shrine, as well as many others, including places to see if you want to take a walk through history. Shakujii Koen station is home to Shakujii Park, and Akitsu station has many places to shop and eat yakitori. Tokorozawa station in Saitama is famous for its illumination displays, and is the home of the Seibu Lions baseball team at Seibu Dome. Due to the amount of different things to do along this line, everyone from young people to families can find something to enjoy.
