Station overview

Hodogaya station is in Hodogaya ward in Yokohama city, and is on the JR Yokosuka and Shonan Shinjuku line. The station serves 33,000 riders per day. The station has east and west exits, and several bus lines emanating from both. Hodogaya station has a very long history, having opened in 1887. In 2007, elevators and escalators were installed for easier access.

Places to see

Near Hodogaya station are the Yokohama business park and Shimizugaoka park. Yokohama business park has offices, restaurants, a sports center, and a park. It has nice views so it is often used for TV shows or movie locations. There is also a local flea market. Shimizugaoka park was built on the site of the old Yokohama national university, and has 2 gyms, a heated pool, 6 tennis courts, and many more. It is a nice spot to see flowering trees in the spring as well.
