It is approximately a 5 minute walk from the station. Ana-Hachimangu shrine used to be called Takada Hachimangu. It is dedicated to ancient emperors, Ojin and Chuai, and Empress Jinko, and was established in 1062! Its statue of the Buddhist deity Hotei is designated as an important cultural property of Shinjuku. It also lies partially on an ancient kofun tumulus.
