Senkawa station is a Tokyo Metro station in Toshima ward, Tokyo. It lies on the Yurakucho and Fukutoshin lines. It is a relatively new station, having opened in 1983. With the opening of the Fukutoshin line in 2008, it has become a convenient station on 2 train lines. 38,000 people use this station daily. From here you can get to Ginza or Kiba on the Yurakucho line, or Shinjuku Sanchome or Shibuya or even Yokohama on the Fukutoshin line. Also, there are many universities and schools near the station, like Chihaya high shool, Toshima high school, Itabashi high school, and more.

Though it's only 2 stations from Ikebukuro, Senkawa is in a quiet residential neighborhood. There is a Life supermarket outside the station where you can by all your daily needs. It is open until 1 am. There are also many family restaurants, fast food, and convenience stores. The area is also very safe, and there are many schools, libraries, and other educational institutions. There may not be many famous sights, but there are lots of parks and spots of nature, so it's nice to take a walk around the neighborhood to refresh. It's not often you can find a place like this within the 23 wards.

Again, even though it's just 2 stations from bustling Ikebukuro, Senkawa has affordable rent prices in a quiet neighborhood. The station itself is in Toshima ward but just a short walk north you will be in Itabashi ward, where rents are even cheaper. There are many supermarkets and convenience stores in the neighborhoods so it is convenient even if you do not live right near the station. Plus there are many schools and libraries, good for families or students. You can also take a bus to the general Nichidai hospital for health needs.
