What’s a civet? Don’t know. Here’s what one looks like:

For the past month and a half, a civet has moved into the walls of Machida Garden. I’ve never seen him, but I hear him, screeching and walking throughout the night. He’s a nocturnal creature, so only comes out a night.
Management was slow to respond. Since moving here 9 months ago, I feel like I’m the only one who contacts the manager. Nobody else seems to really care about anything, but I’ll save that rant for another day. Anyway, after sending a “final warning” email at 4:04am last week on Monday, which was the exact time I was woken up by the sound of pattering footsteps, I finally got a response, and our temporary manager scheduled an inspection with a pest control company yesterday. I was here to talk to the manager directly, but he wrote the following note informing all of us the status of our new, non-paying roommate:

I don’t want to little fellow to inhale some poisonous gas and succumb to his final breath, but I do want him to stop running around at 4:00am waking me up from my sleep!
