IMG_6362

Above : This cereal is amazing, super fiber !

IMG_6365

Above : I did not realize it was like “steam アサリ”

I really thought it has more “juice”.

Food for elderly. Even though I am super old but this is too much …

IMG_6364

Above : THIS taste good, because it was 濃い。

Love this sticky feel.

November 2

This month, things have been bought, the Japanese economy has been supported once again ever since a few years ago.

Things that works, and things that are necessary … supposed to be.

IMG_6343

Above : Not cheap but works.

Makes sure the front hair doesn’t block my view and this light-weighed user-friendly color, it was a GOOD BUY.

Accidentally found it in a store nearby that closes at 8pm every day.

Means most working people with strong consumer power cannot go there … very “smart” working hours heh?

IMG_6336

Above : The very first suitcase ever bought …

IMG_6339

Above : Not as light as I thought but definitely my favorite color …

IMG_6337

Above : でも、残念ですが、cannot be used efficiently due the cancellation of the trip …

So hopefully, next year. And hopefully, the credit of the ticket will not be wasted …

… 100,000 yen

November 1

November has been another blessed month.

No complaints except salary. lol.

Well it really not a laughing matter anyway.

IMG_6369

Above : The dessert that I got from 大戸屋、oh geeeeez ain’t it good …

IMG_6885

Above : Beef from somewhere I forgot, but it tasted great.

IMG_6697

Above : On the way to a very nice New York bar at the top of a beeeeautiful hotel, probably due to the reason that the trip to CA has been unfortunately cancelled … and the luggage bag that I bought, … 10000 yen, still hasn’t been used efficiently but sits in my small room everyday …

This hotel is super grand and beautiful … ><

The drink that cost 2000 yen … because this is an expensive hotel …

Mysteries

As I get older, I’ve decided the human body is mysterious and weird. Last fall, I had no seasonal allergies. This fall, I was sneezing so bad I had to go to the doctor. A month ago, I had no food allergies. This month, I had such a strong reaction to mushrooms I was curled up with an intense pain in my stomach for twelve hours. Last year, I could go six or eight weeks without needing a haircut, my short hair growing out neither fast nor slow. This year, I can’t go more than four before my hair is getting long and shaggy and covering my ears.

Not great mysteries, not mysteries for science and brilliant minds to uncover, but mysteries nonetheless.

Mecca of Cute

I’m helping two Japanese teachers with a Japanese culture class. The other weekend, after a lecture on the surprisingly complicated “kawaii” culture, we took them to Harajuku, the mecca of cute. Somehow, one of the students and I found ourselves trapped in the Studio Ghibli section of Kiddy Land. Not trapped by anything physical, but trapped by the irresistible pull of the cute.

“I’m going to save up for this giant Totoro,” I declared, holding the feet of a Totoro almost half my height and priced at 12,000 yen.

“Is that expensive for a plush doll?” the student asked.

“Yes,” I said. “But it’s not too expensive for something that makes you happy.”

Thankfully, in a used clothing shop on a little side street, I found a stuffed bear for 300 yen that I decided would make me just as happy as a giant Totoro.

Early Morning Tai-Chi

I don’t do tai-chi. In the mornings, I go for a run. As it gets colder and colder, it’s hard to get out of bed. But there’s a group of old men and women, about a mile from my house, who are out at 6:30 every morning, doing tai-chi in front of a temple. So I think to myself, “I have to get up. I have to get up and go for a run, and jog by the temple by 6:30. Otherwise, the ojiichans and obaachans will know I’m being lazy.”

The truth is, I doubt they notice me at all. But it’s a nice lie to tell myself, to get me to roll out of bed.

Oct 4

Below is a dish from the RAMEN shop near by. Taste good.

IMG_5635

Below I believe was a dish I had from Jonathan, trust me, Jonathan does not nearly taste as good as Denny’s … really. I truly think Denny’s taste good.

IMG_5739

Below is a cute western-looking antique shop.

We saw it while we are on the way to our destination …

IMG_5826

There we go, we passed by a very pretty lake, but I forgot the name …

IMG_5857

Sooooooooooooooo nice and pretty and completely almost no one was there, I don’t know why …

I would love to ride on one of these but since we have to be somewhere by 5pm so …

plus, my health is not as good as before, I can have seasick/motion sickness very easily now …

really dislike the problems that comes with aging, but not as much as disliking someone that joke about someone’s old age issue, just like that brainless senseless HK 20-year-old  boy. 気持ち悪い。

WOW, look at this beeeeeeeeeeeeautiful sky !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn’t it AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????

I really did not expect to pass by such a wonderful place!!!!!

Almost can outweigh our destination.

IMG_5844

Here is the Koi, they know where the food is and they think we would feed them so they came … ><

IMG_5868

Oct 3

You would never guess what this is …

A drive thru, and it belongs to ………….. our famous McDonald …

IMG_5558

I am not trying to discriminate but seriously, I have NEVER EVER seen such a cute bun from McDonald before, especially in the states, why and how on earth they look sooo smooth and cute??? Just make your appetite go way up …

IMG_5564

IMG_5563

And by the way, this is the Buy-One-Get-One-Free Fish Filet …

Isn’t it awesome ????????????

IMG_5561

IMG_5562

And the above is the Mango Twist I think, I would say the taste is nothing much special, but it tastes just right? the most attractive part is still that “orange” color … really like that.

Oct 2

OK, now we are talking.

The picture below, the red part might looked a little raw and not attractive, but actually it tasted pretty darn good. oh goodness …

IMG_5494

This is ONE good piece of meat.

Actually in Kennedy we ordered 2 types, 1 Japanese beef 1 Australian, I believe, but unlike 和牛、this time, I think the cheap Australian one tasted better, very surprising heh ?

IMG_5492

There it is. Kennedy Steak House.
