New Gran series open in Tachikawa, terminal station in west Tokyo! From Tachikawa station you can take the Chuo, Ome, and Nanbu lines, and from nearby Tachikawa Kita and Minami stations you can take the Tama Monorail. At 30 minutes to Shinjuku with no transfers, it's a little more removed from central Tokyo, but there's plenty to see and do nearby! To help show off what makes Tachikawa great, new Oakhouse staff Hananoi, Watanabe, and Oakhouse resident Matthew did a report!

The best place for ramen lovers!
Tachikawa is known for its fierce ramen competition. First we head to ramen square on the south side, which kind of looks like a theme park with a New York theme. It has tons of ramen, from famous Ichiran to local favorites. Over 100 types!!

How do you like Tachikawa?
Tachikawa is its own big city, in the west of Tokyo. There is still development happening, but you'll still find plenty of old-style charm, with nostalgic shopping streets and unique shops. There is also a great big park, Showa Kinen park.
Gran Tachikawa is close to the station, so whether you stay in Tachikawa or get easily to other places, you'll be sure to enjoy yourself. We think you'll really have a great time here!
