Though Warabi is only on the Keihin Tohoku line, you can still get to places without having to transfer, and it is right next to a terminal station to get on to even more convenient train lines.
Places to see

There are no major sightseeing spots near the station to speak of, but there are several restaurants that are well-loved by locals, and the Warabi city hall is often used as a filming location for TV shows and legal dramas. There are plenty of places to shop near the station, and there are karaoke and izakayas. The station itself is not very big, but the areas out the east and west exits are different from each other, though still convenient. It's a bit of a walk away but along highway 17 there is a Don Quijote discount store. There are also many parks.
