Station overview

Zoshiki is in Tokyo's Ota ward, on the Keikyu main line. It opened in 1901, with remodeling occurring in 1923 and 1979. In 2017 it was further expanded, alongside Keikyu Kamata station. It sees around 30,000 riders per day. It is a local stop only, and has escalators and elevators. It also has an accessible bathroom.

Places to see

Though Zoshiki is mostly a residential area, there is also the Nu-Land Sagamiyu and Tokyo Glass Art Institute. Nu-Land is a public bath and sauna, popular with locals. The open-air bath is particularly recommended if you need to relax and refresh. At the Tokyo Glass Art Institute, there are courses to train professional glass-makers, as well as lectures you can easily join. This is a place where you can experience a unique activity, so it is popular with locals and travelers alike.

Lifestyle

Zoshiki is right next to Keikyu Kamata station, and two away from Keikyu Kawasaki. It is fairly convenient, and you can get to Shinagawa and Yokohama easily. From there you can take the Shinkansen bullet train to many other places around Japan. There are supermarkets nearby, and drugstores and 100-yen shops. There is also a small park so it is a family-friendly area. There are spots of nature along the Tama river, good for walking or jogging. There are plenty of family restaurants and fast-food places. There are no real leisure spots to speak of but overall it is an easy place to live.
