Area information of Suginami
Area overview
Suginami is home to 550,000 people and has great access to the rest of the city. It has more single-family homes than other wards, as well as many spots to enjoy nature. Suginami has famous areas like Koenji, Asagaya, and Ogikubo, and is home to events like Koenji Awaodori or Asagaya's Jazz Street. Both these areas are famous for music. The station began in 1922, but was lost in the war air raids, though it was rebuilt quickly. It underwent its first real remodel in 1952. There are many bus services that connect from this station as well. There are 2 elevators in the station, and an accessible bathroom inside as well.
