We have opened a new house in our women-only Flora series, the first in Yokohama! It's called Flora Yokohama Hoshikawa. The closest station is Hoshikawa, on the Sagami line. The crew this time is Ito from marketing, Oka, manager Fukui, and sharehouse residents Jun and Ikebe. Off we go!

What is special about Hoshikawa?
Hoshikawa station is currently under renovation, but it's only 5 minutes from Yokohama, and the house is only a 6-minute walk away. On the north side of the station is the police station, post office, and other public offices, as well as a home center, appliance shop, Aeon shop, and more convenient shops!

Italian restaurant Aronpoto
We couldn't find the right word to say this in English or Italian, so the name is just a transliteration of the Japanese sign. This Italian restaurant is on the north side of the station. There is a rotating menu every day, and what's great is the appetizers that come with the set menu! Pizza, salad, etc. We really liked the roasted chicken with cheese and demiglace sauce. All sorts of people come here, from housewives, salarymen, and working women. Ikebe, who is in the market for a boyfriend, enjoyed her lunch while checking out the cute guys!

Could be a nice date spot!
The Katabira river can be seen right from the north exit of Hoshikawa station. We were a little early for the sakura blooming, but it would certainly be a nice quiet spot to watch the seasons change. Ikebe thinks it will make a great date spot!

Fantastic chicken curry!
We also checked out the south side of the station, with a very small curry shop (4 counter seats!) with chicken and pork curry. It was sooo good! Pictured is the chicken curry, mild. The taste was so smooth. It will be hard to surpass this curry. It's a cozy place to sit and eat. We also had a nice spicy ginger ale, made in house!

Like we said at the beginning, it can be hard to find a town with a station area as convenient as this. Lots of families live in this area and we felt really safe. Come to the women-only Flora Yokohama Hoshikawa and you can go to the same places we went and see for yourself!
