What are the requirements to move in?
All residents are subject to a personal inspection screening according to Oakhouse's own rules.
Age
You must be at least 18 years old to move in.
If you are under 20 years old, you must submit a parental consent form.
There is no upper age limit.
However, we may not accept those who need assistance in daily living, as it is difficult for us to provide specialized services.
We ask for your understanding in advance.
Nationality
There are no restrictions on nationality.
Foreign nationals are required to present documents such as a passport or residence card as proof of identity.
Gender
There are no restrictions based on gender in most properties.
There are some properties, such as women-only properties, women-only areas, and men-only areas, where restrictions apply only to the designated gender.
Please refer to the website's Property Details page > Vacancies > Occupancy Conditions to see which properties and rooms are eligible for this program.
Working/Studying
There are no restrictions on employment or study status, such as employed, studying, on leave, unemployed, or seeking employment.
Visa
There are no restrictions on the type of visa as long as it is valid.
Foreign nationals are required to present documents such as a passport or residence card as proof of identity.
Guarantor
No guarantor or guarantor company is required, but an emergency contact person is required.
We will contact the emergency contact person by phone at the time of screening.
Please inform the emergency contact person in advance that Oak House will be contacting him or her.
Please set up one of your parents as the emergency contact, regardless of whether they are in Japan or overseas. If you do not have a parent, please set up a sibling, relative, or other relative.
Financial (income, bank balance, etc.)
For most properties, we do not restrict current income or bank balance as a condition.
For some properties, we may ask you to provide them, and we will inform you in advance at the time of showing.
Other
As a share house, mutual consideration and consideration for each other are necessary for a comfortable life. We ask that those who behave in a self-righteous manner or are overbearing to other residents or Oak House staff after moving in, or who may cause inconvenience to others, refrain from moving in."
