実は偶然に同じカンボジアボランティア団体「ikiiki」の仲間でもあった。

昨年、僕は日本で幼稚園資金調達に奮闘していた頃、
いさかマネージャーは、その団体のボランティアに参加し、カンボジアで幼稚園建設してた。
そして、今はひとつ屋根の下♪
いや～、つながりって、わからん♪
ステキな仲間がマネージャーで、すなおに嬉しいっす♪

ちなみに、７月連休はシェアハウス女子部が伊豆へ旅行いってました♪
仕事がなかったら、行きたかった。
って、呼ばれてもないけどさ♪

やだやだ、もうこんな体いやだ、不便すぎる〜！泣
寝坊して慌てて仕事してるのにどうしても体が気持ち悪い。
筋トレしないと座ってられない… done！スッキリ…愕然。
「趣味はカフェ巡りです♡」とか真っ先に言いたいのに
最近は男性の前でも「趣味は筋トレです」
とついつい要らぬ正直ワードがでてしまう…愕然。
わが家ソーシャルレジデンスたまプラーザを
どうしたって離れられない大きな要因のひとつは
筋トレやってるダンススタジオがついてることですよねぇ……。

これもドイツのミュンスターで1627年から愛される Cafe Rleimann。
戦争で95％が破壊されたこの街で残った奇跡のカフェです。

Every year, you see a flock of people in major cities in Japan. Fireworks festival or Hanabi taikai（花火大会）is one of the common sights in summer.
From the end of July to the beginning of August, you find many people wearing Yukata, a casual version of Kimono, walking on the street.
The problem is… there are too many festival to choose. I’m not saying some festivals are terrible. It just depends on what you expect.
Let me tell you my tips to choose a good fireworks festival.
1. Pick the one in a rural area.
This is probably the most common mistake that even locals make sometimes. The fireworks in a big city is often highlighted with fancy pictures and websites. The downside is that it gets super super crowded. Fireworks in summer is the only day that I see that many people in the city. People are everywhere. Trashes everywhere. You see the longest queue just to get a pack of Yakisoba (which is pricy and not even close to ok quality).
It’s even worse if you have to take a train to the site. Being packed with thousands of sweaty people in a tiny train, it’s just a matter of time that you start questioning your sanity. 10 minutes is more than enough to ask yourself “why am I here?”.
This still happens in a rural area, but in much smaller scale. and the best thing is that you probably get to sit on the ground.
Last week, my housemates and I went to Ome-city Noryo fireworks festival. The city opened up one of the elementary school ground. We just put a tarp on the ground and enjoyed the fireworks. We could even lie down.
It was also because there were other fireworks festival on the same date in other cities.
2. The scale doesn’t matter.
Many people choose to go to the festival in the city simply because it’s big and exciting. However, the small festivals are just as nice as big ones.
The best fireworks festival that I’ve ever been was the small festival in Kyoto called Kameoka Peace Festival & Hozu-gawa River Firework Festival. It’s in a really rural area and they only fire off 5000 fireworks. But I was surprised how big each fireworks is and how colorful it was.
Unlike other summer festivals which people expect excitement or even danger, fireworks festivals in general are seen as something quieter, something just to enjoy the atmosphere.
3. Do research before you go. (Also, ask the locals)
Finding a good spot is another problem you will probably deal with. Most people just go to the area and look for a spot but often times it’s not a good idea. If you have a time to plan in advance, go online and look for a good spot.
Sometimes, the municipal government provides designated space to watch like school grounds or national parks.
Asking locals on the day of fireworks is a good idea too. When you’re looking for a spot before a festival starts, you want to know where exactly you see fireworks. Just ask locals on the street. They should be kind to let you know. Maybe they tell you a hidden spot where only locals know.
■ What you can do to maximize the experience
Once you decide which fireworks festival to go, there are some things you might consider. These are something I personally think it’s nice to do. But it’s completely optional.
1. Yukata is worth the cost.
Yukata looks nice but it can cost like a couple of hundred bucks. (cheap ones are also available in department stores for around 5000 to 10,000yen)
You probably think it’s not worth it because you only have a few chances to wear within a year. I’d say, however, it’s worth the money. First of all, everyone would look amazing on it. Seriously, everyone. Just try it on.
2. Bring a tarp
You can get it in the local convenience store.
3. Avoid food at the night market
You usually see little shops and night market at fireworks site. It looks nice but it’s better to avoid their food if you can. It’s simply because the quality is terrible. I honestly think it’s better to eat dinner before the festival.

旅の内容はまた書くとした荷造りした今の感想を。
今回は11日間でしたが、はじめ、
荷物少な過ぎてびっくりでしたよ……人生初の少なさ！
住んでるたまプラーザのよさのひとつが、空港へのアクセス！
羽田までは直通バスで1時間ですからね〜♬
バスのとなりにバックパック置いてこのサイズって
過去ちょっとあり得ないことでした。
６月のヨーロッパ１カ月の荷物はほんっと激重で
最終的には２４キロになりましたよw
それが、今回１０キロ！！短いとは言え、
びっくり忘れ物ありそうだで恐かった〜。。
ドイツ着いてバックパック背負いながら
GoProだってできちゃいましたよぅほら。
ちなみにフランクフルト空港はルフトハンザだらけ。
広〜い空港中ほんっと一面ルフトハンザだったぁ。
で、１０日たったらこのサイズ。
ここはメルキュールホテルコブレンツ。ライン川とお城を見渡すすんごいとこでした★
18キロって、約２倍！
でも帰国したらまた荷物だされて１キロとかになるんでしょ。
大会前後のボクサーどころじゃないですな。
バックパックいつも激務をありがとう〜
ちなみにこれが部屋からの眺め★ 日中と、朝焼け
先月末までに3000円を賭けたソーシャルレジデンスのダイエット部。
先月、多忙すぎて、月末ようやくダイエットへ集中できる時間がとれた。
ちなみにラスト４日で、なぜか、なぜかのスタート時点より、０．４オーバー♪
なので、3000円くらいなら、払う気まんまん。
いかんぜょ、勝負師たる者として・・・
ラス4日目はトーク依頼あった。
勝負前は一切食べない。
なので、夜遅くまでなにも食べれずに、－０．７キロ。
2日目は起きたら、さらに－０．２キロ。
お昼に運動がてら、山手線一周をすることに。
以前にソーシャルレジデンス蒲田の仲間がしていたので、興味あった。

サウナスーツみたいな保温性ばっちりのジャージで歩いてみた。
暑いを通り越し、もはや熱い。
新宿から品川周りで、東京駅まで４時間。
そこで、ドクターストップならぬ、僕ストップ♪
無理無理、一周なんて。
次の駅が天国になりそー♪
ギブアップ。もーふらふら。
帰宅すると、なんと、－１．１キロ減。
やっほい。
そして、最強兵器が花小金井にあり。
駅から徒歩13分のとこにある「お風呂の王様」

そのままお風呂の王様で、風呂入りーの、サウナ計３０分くらい入りーの。
1時間目で－２５０ｇ、
２時間目で－２００ｇ
これ以上、１日で痩せるのよろしくないかなと。
家の体重計では、行く前後で－６００ｇ
そして、2日目の計が－１．７キロ。
2日間で、－２．６キロ。
いかん、ちと頑張り過ぎた。
もっとスローに落とすつもりだった。

3日目、安定のリバウンド♪
－２．２キロが－１キロへまで・・・
でも、シェア仲間もみんなミスってるっぽい。
たしか７人くらいで始めたはず。
けど、１階にその７人が偶然キッチリ集まれてなく、集計が難しいんすけど♪
今月みんなでガンバりたい♪
そして、ダイエット仲間急募♪一緒に住んでダイエットしよー。内覧щ(ﾟдﾟщ)ｶﾓｰﾝ
もうかれこれ3年前・・・私がプレミア木場に住んでいた頃に出会った友人のゆうきちゃんとは今でも仲良しで良く遊びます♪
仕事も年齢も違う友人は、シェアハウスでしか出会えなかった大切な人たちです。普通は習い事やどこかのコミュニティーにでも入らない限り、なかなか幅広い出会いはありませんが、シェアハウスに住んでいると、むしろそういう出会いがそれが当たり前になる・・・改めて考えると、すごい場所だなと思います。
ゆうきちゃんも、そういう環境で出会えた大切な友人の一人です。
今は別々の場所で暮らしているけれど、ずっと関係は続いています。
先日、女子力を磨く為、由比ガ浜にあるアルビオンビーチでのワークショップに彼女と参加しました！
ワークショップの名前は 【月夜の茶会】 ステキでしょ♪
講師は茶道家&ワインソムリエの桑原宗典さん。
凛とした雰囲気のある方で、和服もソムリエのお洋服も着こなしていて、かっこよかったです。
お抹茶の立て方や、瞑想、お茶菓子の知識など2時間のワークショップで様々な勉強＆体験ができました。
ゆうきちゃん、抹茶お立てがんばってます！
ビーチハウスでのワークショップだったので、フルーツとコラボした和菓子を頂きました★
当日は晴れていて、お月様を見ながら贅沢な時間が過ごせました。
シェアハウスでできた友達は、一生の友達になります。
みなさまも、今すぐ住みましょう！！！！！！

Hiking is one of the things you should definitely try while you’re in Japan. I was just in Nederland for 9 days and surprised to see the whole country is so flat. Japan is completely the opposite. You see mountains almost everywhere.
If living in a forest is a German’s dream, living on a mountain is probably a Japanese dream. You’d be surprised to see how many local people hiking on such high mountains every year. People love hiking in this country.
However, it’s not just about love that attracts people to mountains. Part of it is because it’s the spirituality that people seek for. Maybe it’s the similar reason for people go to shrine or temples on the first day of the year.
Even if you are not a hiker, Mt. Fuji is something that everyone dreams to hike at least once. There’s another reason that the highest mountain in Japan grabs people’s heart. The sunrise you see on the top of the mountain (御来光, Goraikou).
Me and my friends just took a trip to Mt. Fuji last week. It was a two-days trip including staying in a mountain hut. The mountain is not in Tokyo but pretty accessible by trains and long distance busses. Here is the itinerary. Since you just need two days, Mt. Fuji hike can be accomplished on a weekend.

It’s great to invite your friends and family while you are in Japan. You get to see some old faces and they get a perfect guide for their Japan tour.
If it’s just for a short stay like a few days, they can crash at your place. but if it’s a month long summer vacation, it’s a different story.
■ Renting an extra room
Oakhouse is flexible in that sense. I noticed some of the French people in my share house are inviting their friends and family this summer. They rent an extra room in the same share house. There are some conditions you need to keep in mind but it’s probably cheaper than staying in a hotel or hostel for the entire month. Besides, it’s so much more fun!
Here are the conditions and things you should know:
1) You can only rent for a month or longer.
2) Two people can stay in the same room for extra 10,000 yen on top of the rent.
3) You still need to pay the management fee on top of the rent. (Sometimes there are campaigns going on)
4) Referral discount applies on both sides (You and your family)
Maintain a good relationship with the house manager so that they help you with the contract.
■Travelers’ point of view
If you’re a traveler wanting to visit Japan before you decide to live, you could probably use this system to stay in Tokyo for a few months or so. Try it out to see if you like to live in Tokyo.
The best thing about staying in a share house for a short term, I think, is about meeting local people. I love traveling and every time I visit a new country, I realize it’s hard to meet some local people. Meeting locals gives you so much more insights than just meeting travelers in hostels.
Share house is not just a house. It’s a community. It’d be great to be part of the community even if it’s just for a week. Sometimes it doesn’t matter which city you live in but it matters which community you belong to.
